Yoga in the sauna and meeting people who like chocolate ice cream:)
cold winter in Poland and there are falling further records of heat. It is warm, it is quite hot.
Slippers, light pants, T-shirt is my dress for a week. There are a lot warmer than in July and August. Sometimes I catch myself in that I think "but cool summer":)
Every morning we play tennis, this is my latest passion. In San Francisco courts are free, there are many and are in excellent condition. I live 800 meters from a beautiful park, which is 7 tennis. In tennis I played a few years ago, with varying enthusiasm. I guess I missed a little bit of motivation to overcome obstacles in the form of travel, playing at dawn or late evening, when the court was available, low temperatures, etc.. And here's a beautiful Sunday broke up the bike on which I traveled, we did not want to run and so I landed on the court. Little in spite of themselves, because I set up a bike ride to the ocean by the beautiful Golden Gate Park, long time since I played, all around reflected beautifully, and I do not remember how to hold a rocket. Fortunately, Agata, who encouraged me to play was stubborn, and since then we play almost every day.
In November and December, a passion for Bikram yoga, a very fashionable here. Bikram yoga is a method based on 26 postures performed in a room heated to a temperature over 40 degrees. The gym is very hot, and still is blown hot air. I do not remember how I survived the first lesson:) you should drink water at designated intervals, but the first three classes drank after each exercise, breathe deeply and tried not to faint. Impression is like practicing in the sauna. So after the third class, when acclimatized, I began to focus on positions and their correct execution. At the beginning I happened even once to leave the room for half an hour (classes last one and a half hours).
in January turned into yoga for tennis, but since February I turn to my favorite sauna :)
meetupy Another pastime is a fantastic and very popular in the United way to meet people. In the San Francisco area next week and held about 650 meetings. http://www.meetup.com/ . The main idea of this meeting "in real life people from the neighborhood with similar interests. There is no large-scale forums, the meeting is given a date, place, brief description and RSVP: yes / no / maybe.
My friend Mike runs one of the more popular events in San Francisco - meeting people who like to travel. A few days after my arrival in the United States took place in a meeting of his group, I went, I met great people and so I liked meetupy. Everyone can find something for everyone, and if not, then just take a few minutes to enter data, about $ 12 a month and you can start your group. Some meetings are so popular that rapidly form a waiting list. This is due mostly to logistical reasons - the number of seats in a restaurant, bar area, club seats, etc. in the field of camping. Meetupy are mostly free, some promoters charge a small fee 1 - $ 3, to cover the organizational costs. Some companies use this form to advertise their services, such as tourist trips. My friend Tammy, who is a trainer of dogs used meetup.com to advertise their weekly called, puppy socials, or socializing for puppies and their owners by the way:) The puppies are socialized, coaches monitor play and teach dog owners how to interpret dog body language.
Meet single parents, lovers of wine, people who like foreign films with subtitles, looking for work, people in high places, the devotees of the breed of dogs, there is a lot of sports groups, socialize - Marriage, focused on spiritual development, representatives and fans of a particular culture or language. Meetings are held according to the zeal of the organizer, the organizer often supports assistants. As a rule, everyone gets a sticker, on which he writes his name. The rest is variable. At the meeting, travelers enter the country to which they choose or want to go - a good way to establish a conversation. At the meeting, the Europeans have the flag of the country we come from. At the meeting, those looking for room / apartment for rent or roommates / tenants enter the names of districts in which we want to live, and the maximum price you're willing to pay or give the address and payment of rent. Plaques seekers and providers are in different colors for easier distinction.
Akurat this meeting, namely flatmate meetup took place at the bar, where some people had completely no idea that there is a meetup. Gently insert the pan after a long time staring at our name tags said, "And why every one of you has given the price?")
a few hours, setting off to conquer another continent:)
I am flying to Colombia, a country of coffee and coca. Travel Plan we have more or less developed, with an emphasis on less, but I do like to travel:)
Mike, my friend, leading a group of travel, told me - for inspiration - check the tour travels to Colombia organized by a travel agency specializing in expeditions to South America . None of the U.S. agencies did not organize a trip to Colombia, promises to be interesting:) Fortunately, European travel agents are less restrictive.
Another report on his return, or after 26 January. Hasta luego
:)

Pityriasis Rosea In Bla
James Bond Party
Welcome to the new year. I wore with the intention of abandoning writing a blog, not because it does not make me a pleasure, but because of the extremely tight schedule. My intentions were very serious and imminent implementation and if not for my Dad is probably now I would have taken leave:)
Besides, we have a new year, a time for New Year's resolutions. My last year realized a exemplary, except one, but I tried to hard, did not work out, I can always start again.
So my New Years resolution is one post per week. And that requires the written word more the better. It was
My first Christmas away from home. A few months ago did not imagine that I could spend Christmas without loved ones. On the other hand, tempted me for a long time, not to say that it was my dream to spend the holidays away from home and family. Sure it sounds very logical, but that's how I felt. While in Poland, even in Europe for a very odczuwałabym lack of family, Christmas Eve, the preparations, all this unique atmosphere. But here in San Francisco after 5 months in the U.S., my peaceful and controversial dream suddenly took on the shape. I was curious how Americans spend their holidays and how I'll feel .... In short, both very positive experience:)
still think about it not written, but a month ago I moved again. I love my former roommates, the two-legged and four-legged, and those living in terrariums and aquariums, but not really suited me my room (very dark) and temperature in the apartment. It is indeed quite common phenomenon in SF, freezes in the winter in their own apartment. Victorian houses are beautiful, but terrible for heating. Walls, or the material of which they are constructed These houses do not hold heat, leaky windows complete the picture ...
is somewhat understandable that this situation does not turn on heat until it gets really cold. A definition of "really cool" is different for everyone:) My roommates turned out to be very seasoned, for them is not the first autumn / winter in SF, except that given the structure of the building and leaky windows, it's hard to see why, turning on the heating becomes whim:) heating in many local homes is quite specific, with thermostats no one has heard, no radiators, just blower. They are loud, fast it gets warm, even hot and cold just as quickly, even when turned off.
colleague, also an intern, offered me to move to her apartment. Sara lives with John, who is her partner in life. Bassets have 9, which fortunately tend to rotate in the city, every day they live in their house in Sacramento (capital of California.)
Most have two basset hounds in the house. Heating blower there, but the windows are fairly tight:) Compared to the temperatures in Poland, here is the warm autumn, and although I'm obviously accustomed low-temperature-like winter, is jointly and severally nodded when my friends asked if temp 7-10 C is also for me is "very cold". I remember how I came to SF, greeted me cold summer, which is here considered to be the worst time of year, and friends have told me, wait for Indian summer, and then for the winter in SF, you will see how wonderful it is to enjoy the beautiful weather, when the north of Europe is already cold. Then I thought that I will miss the winter, but it's really fun to walk in wearing in December and sit outside drinking a cup of coffee:) Finally, 2 hours away by car and we flit skiing in Tahoe:)
In December, the pre-Christmas period and public holiday, I moved to friends that have a beautiful loft in Somi, a former industrial and hazardous area of SF, which is now a growing. A completely different building, it reminds me a little Kabaty Warsaw. Very much modern lofts.
eight months I was under the care of Lola, a hybrid Rhodesian Ridgeback and a dachshund and probably a few other breeds. A dog with problems, but I like this:)
Christmas in America is above all a day off from work, December 25.
At the beginning of my stay I impression that the term American really does not define anyone, because there is such diversity. But during their stay here, I learned or got used to, that's one of the main characteristics of this country. Feast of all Americans this Thanksgiving, Christmas due to a mixture of cultural - ethnic - religious are very simply a sort of Thanksgiving back to the public. Beautifully decorated with houses, streets and squares. Is a web site devoted to homes in the Bay Area (SF area), which is worth seeing, people to go for a walk routes przystrojonych homes. Of course, we have a crisis, but it was hard to see it squeezing into the crowd laden with Christmas shopping Americans)
Ironically my holidays here were far more Christian than the current size. Inspired by the act / achievement of my friend from London a few years ago a member of the famous and popular rock band, who on Christmas Eve for several hours (until dawn), helped by a huge Christmas party for homeless people, I got into dogs, the so-called. red list. Red List is a problem in a nutshell (Aggression on different grounds, guarding / defending food, toys, etc.). And that only trained people can take care of them. Amazing experience, seeing the joy these dogs really had the impression that they speak with a human voice.
For Christmas Dinner, a Christmas dinner I was invited to Chris and Jo, Canadians, I did not know by sight, but couch surfers forum ( http://www.couchsurfing.com/ ). Jo & Chris, who did not return to Vancouver for the holidays hosted at home during this period couchsurfingowców pair of Montreal, which were not familiar (French and Canadian) and decided to invite also those who, for various reasons did not spend Christmas with your family or in the home region. There was not counting brought gifts and wine products, but it was shared cooking, joking, telling about themselves, about their countries, shared washing etc. There were 13 people, three Americans, the rest from various countries around the world. Most are not planning to leave SF, but there were also those who have not flown home due to the huge blizzards and their consequences - canceled flights and closed roads. Of course, I mean blizzards outside SF, here at the most rain falls:)
accordance with the local New Year's Eve tradition started in the restaurant, we went to a trendy English restaurant on the 7 course dinner. Fortunately, the portions were kind of tasting:) After dinner we went
the party James Bond Party organized in a private penthouse. Penthouse was totally glazed. Amazing view of SF, Golden Gate Bridge, the bay. She was, of course, vodka martini, shaken not stirred and the sea of champagne:)
at midnight was a fireworks display over the bay, beyond the silence, are prohibited in SF fireworks.
event was very successful, but for me the most amazing thing was that the New Year welcome in this magical place in San Francisco, having them at my feet:)
hit the next day was New Year's breakfast, which we went to the premises, which serves breakfast only, but for hours. 3 pm:)
not know if it's fact or hunger, but it was the best omelet I have ever tasted:)
Happy New Year!
